One of the three jobs Delivered by a partner, not by us

You probably do not have a lead problem. You have a reply problem.

Enquiries arrive. Quotes take three days because the person who can price it was on site. Nobody chased the one from a fortnight ago. The work was there and it went somewhere else, quietly, and nothing in your reporting will ever tell you.

A panda working an inbox of enquiries, one reply at a time

We are not consultants describing this from the outside. We run three businesses of our own and do every one of these jobs in them, every week.

What it actually is

A managed sales inbox. Somebody answers every enquiry, in your words, using your prices.

Not a lead generation agency. Not a chatbot bolted onto your website. Not a CRM you will have to learn. A person, working your inbox, who knows your lead times and your price list and replies while the enquiry is still warm.

Every reply is read by a human before it sends. Which is the same rule we build our own software to, and the reason we were comfortable pointing clients at it.

Handles
  • Quote and pricing requests
  • Order status and tracking
  • Delivery and lead-time questions
  • Product and stock questions
  • Following up quotes that went quiet
  • Flagging hot leads and complaints to you
Why this is on our site at all

A sales desk is only as good as the data behind it.

Somebody answering "is this in stock" needs a stock figure that is true. Somebody quoting needs a price list that is current. This is exactly where the software layer either helps or quietly ruins it, which is why the two belong on the same page.

Without the layer

The reply is fast and wrong. You promise stock you do not have, quote a price that changed on Monday, and a quick answer becomes an awkward phone call.

With it

Stock is live from the system that actually knows, prices are current because they sync, and lead times come from the same place your warehouse reads.

So the order is

Usually data first, desk second. If your stock figures are a guess, fix that before you pay somebody to quote from them.

Worth a look if
  • › You sell B2B and most enquiries arrive by email
  • › Quoting competes with doing the actual work, and the work wins
  • › Nobody is chasing the quotes that went quiet
  • › You are not ready to hire, and would rather not have to
Not for you if
  • × You want outbound. This is answering, not hunting
  • × Every quote needs a site visit and an engineer's judgement
  • × Your enquiry volume is two a week. It will not pay for itself
  • × You want the cheapest option. It starts at a thousand a month

Said plainly, because you would find out anyway.

Giles Sales Desk is run by Fin Giles. It is his business, not a department of ours, and he is Paul's son. He is engaged directly and billed directly, we take nothing from it, and if he is not right for you he will say so.

We put it here because the three jobs only work joined up, and because we would rather point you at somebody we would trust with our own inbox than pretend sales is not part of the picture.
