We do not advise businesses. We run them.
Three of them. WYBB, which you are reading. PlateSeller, which Paul co-owns and built. Drehwerks, which we are building from nothing right now. Real businesses, with stock to shift, customers to answer and a month that has to add up.
Which means every week we do the same four things you do. Win the work. Get found. Keep the operation running. Keep the software underneath it all straight. Nobody to hand the awkward parts to, same as you.
And we like it. The scaling, the promoting, the selling, the bit where a thing that did not exist starts making money. That is the job, and it is why we are useful to somebody doing it rather than somebody describing it.
Most agencies have never had to live with what they shipped. We have, and we still do.
This. Three people, four jobs, no sales function and nobody to blame for the marketing.
Built by Paul and run on our own systems. When the checkout breaks at nine on a Sunday, it is our checkout.
Started from nothing, which is a useful thing to be doing while advising people who are doing the same.
Nobody arrives looking for an operations layer.
They arrive with a store that cannot cope, stock that is wrong online or a supplier file nobody can get into Shopify. What we build is below, and the model we build it on follows it.
Three jobs, and the layer underneath that decides how well they go.
Every business has to win work, be found and run itself day to day. All three sit on software. When that is a pile of disconnected tools, all three are worse than they should be and nobody can quite say why.
Answering the people who already want to buy
Most SMEs do not have a lead problem. They have a reply problem. Quotes that take three days, follow-ups nobody made, enquiries that went cold in an inbox.
Sales deskBeing findable by the people who do not know you yet
Search, feeds and the technical groundwork that decides whether any of it works. Mostly unglamorous, mostly product data, done weekly rather than in campaigns.
MarketingMaking the work happen without you in every decision
People, process, delivery cadence and the accounts side. The difference between a business and a job you cannot leave.
Consultancy operationsSoftware
Your stock, your product data, your service records, your quotes, your customers. All three jobs above run on it, and most of the time nobody owns it, so it grows one tool at a time until somebody is holding it together by hand.
It is the part we do ourselves and the reason the other three get better rather than just louder. Fixing marketing on top of product data nobody trusts is painting a wall that is still wet.
You do not have to take all four. Most clients start with one, usually the layer, and add the others when the first one is working. We would rather do one thing properly than four at half attention.
Three of us, plus one we trust. You will be told which.
Three people at WYBB, and a fourth who runs his own business alongside us. No pods, no squads, no account team. You will know the name of the person doing your work on day one, and it will not change without you being told.
Systems, product data and the ecommerce on top, plus the search and feed work that sits on it. Partner.
Operating model, process and the behaviour change that makes any of it stick. Partner, and twenty years at it.
Works alongside us on build and has done for years. Not client-facing by choice.
Runs Giles Sales Desk, which is his own business rather than ours. He is also Paul's son, which you would work out eventually, so we would rather say it now. Engaged and billed separately.
Two ways to work with us.
Most clients start with a project and move to a retainer. Some do the reverse. Both are first-class, and we will tell you which one your problem actually needs.

For a migration, a rebuild or a system that needs building once and handing over.

Ongoing engineering capacity, agreed priorities each month and improvements shipped every two weeks.
