Who we are

WYBB is a trading name of Paul Giles, the controller of the personal data described in this notice. For anything about your data, write to help@wybb.uk.

What we collect and why

We only hold personal data you give us through a form on this site.

  • Contact form: your name, email address, company and whatever you tell us about your turnover, platform, goal, constraint, timeline and message. We use it to reply to your enquiry and to decide whether we can help.
  • Health check: your name, email address, the business details you select, your answers and the resulting score. We use it to produce your report and to follow up on it if you ask us to.

Our lawful basis for the contact form and the health check is legitimate interests: you have asked us something and we need your details to answer.

To stop abuse of the forms, the server keeps a count of recent submissions against the IP address they came from. Those counts are deleted within a day or so. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests in keeping the site working.

Who else handles it

We do not sell your data or pass it to anyone for their own marketing. These companies process it for us, under contract:

  • Vercel hosts the website and runs the forms.
  • Neon hosts the database that form submissions are stored in.
  • Resend delivers the notification email that tells us about your enquiry.
  • Google provides analytics, only if you accept analytics cookies.

Some of these companies are based in, or use servers in, countries outside the UK. Where they do, the transfer is covered by the safeguards UK data protection law requires.

How long we keep it

We keep an enquiry or a health check for 24 months after our last contact about it, or for as long as any work it leads to continues, whichever is the longer. After that it is deleted.

You can ask us to delete what we hold at any time. We will, unless the law requires us to keep it.

Cookies and analytics

Nothing is sent to Google Analytics unless you choose Accept on the cookie banner. If you reject, or ignore the banner, no analytics cookies are set and no analytics data leaves your browser.

If you accept, Google Analytics sets cookies that tell us which pages are read and roughly where visitors come from. We do not use advertising features.

The site also stores a few things in your own browser that are not sent to us: your cookie choice, whether you prefer the plain or the technical wording and your progress through the health check so you can come back to it.

You can change your mind at any time with the Cookie Preferences link at the bottom of every page.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, ask us to stop or restrict what we do with it, object to our use of it and withdraw any consent you have given.

Write to help@wybb.uk and we will answer within one month. If you are not satisfied with the answer, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes

If what this site collects changes, this notice changes with it and the date at the top is updated.
